As part of our commitment to diversity andinclusion, Digitalize participated in the Charity Tennis Tournament – Autumn 2024, organized by InterNations Luxembourg Changemakers Group and Ambulanz Wonsch. This event combined sports and solidarity to support a meaningful cause: granting the final wishes of individuals in end-of-life care.
Context
At Digitalize, we strongly believe that diversity andinclusion go beyond the workplace. Sports are a powerful tool for social cohesion, and this tournament gave us the opportunity to connect with other participants while contributing to an inspiring initiative led by Ambulanz Wonsch
Objectives
Support Ambulanz Wonsch in their mission to grant the last wishes of terminally ill patients.
Foster team bonding through a sports activity.
Promote values ofinclusion, mutual support, and solidarity within Digitalize.
Approach
Four members of Digitalize joined the tournament, which ran from October 16 to January 31, 2025. In an engaging format where players accumulated points throughout their matches, we were able to combine friendly competition with a meaningful humanitarian cause. The event concluded with a special awards ceremony celebrating the winners.
Impact
This initiative helped raise funds for Ambulanz Wonsch while reinforcing our commitment to diversity andinclusion, fostering connections with other engaged organizations in Luxembourg.
