Panel discussion to mark Diversity Day Lëtzebuerg, at 7pm
To mark Diversity Day 2026 in Luxembourg, the Centre for Documentation on Human Migration (CDMH) invites you to discover its specialist library on migration. A true reflection of the diversity of migration journeys and the perspectives held on them, this library serves as a space for knowledge and remembrance. Open to everyone – researchers, students and the general public alike – this library bears witness to the ongoing commitment of the Centre’s founders, as well as the invaluable work of the librarians, archivists, trainees and volunteers who, over the years, have helped to shape it.
As a signatory to the Lëtzebuerg Diversity Charter, the CDMH has been actively committed for many years to promoting diversity in all its forms; indeed, working on migration involves recognising and valuing the plurality of human experiences and life stories that make up our societies.
On this occasion, a round-table discussion will bring together key representatives from various specialist libraries in Luxembourg, as well as our long-standing partners. The libraries will be presented, and discussions will focus on the role of specialist libraries in matters of diversity, their missions and challenges, their geographical locations and audiences, as well as the place of the ‘book’ in our societies, whilst opening up further reflections.

CID | Fraen an Gender, Luxembourg’s only specialist library, located in the heart of the city centre. It is dedicated to feminism, gender studies and equality. With over 30,000 resources (books, journals, CDs, sheet music), it offers extensive collections on women’s and gender history, feminist literature, as well as a significant music media library and an educational section for young people. - Jean-Sébastien Zippert, Head of the North-South Specialised Library
CITIM (Third World Information Centre), a specialist library run by the Luxembourg-based NGO ASTM (Action Solidarité Tiers Monde). It focuses on North-South relations, sustainable development and global citizenship education. CDMH – Centre for Documentation on Human Migration, which manages a specialist library on migration, a veritable treasure trove of resources, offering: over 15,000 books, 7,800 press clippings, as well as numerous specialist journals on human migration, covering collections spanning many years and series of issues.
