puce_diversity_Day_Awards  WHAT IS THE DIVERSITY CHARTER LETZEBUERG?

 

It is a relatively short commitment text which any Luxembourg company or organisation can sign in order to express its commitment to promoting diversity by concrete actions that go beyond legal and regulatory obligations of non-discrimination

The Charter’s objective is to encourage organisations to guarantee the respect and promotion of diversity in their workforce. 

The Diversity Charter is an initiative by private and public companies, by associations and administrations grouped within IMS Luxembourg (Inspiring More Sustainability).

Created at the national level, the Charter is supported by UEL and employer organisations, corporate networks as well as AMCHAM, the European Commission, the Government Ministries and the Equality Treatment Center.

In order to follow the Diversity project, IMS Luxembourg has created a Comity for the Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg represented by the privileged partners – Deutsche Bank, l’Office Luxembourgeois de l’Accueil et de l’Intégration (OLAI), PwC, RBC Investor & Treasury Services and Sodexo. An active working group, composed by the representatives of more than ten different organisations (public institutions, companies), is leading the project.

Article 1

Raise awareness, train and involve the decision-makers and partners to the challenges of diversity as a source of enrichment, innovation, progress and social cohesion.

Article 2

Define a diversity policy and implement practices and action plans that consciously integrate the management of individual differences.

Article 3

Apply the principles of equal opportunities and promotion of diversity in the company's decision-making and management processes as well as in the management of its humain resources.

Article 4

Evaluate these practices, their results and their effects regularly.

Article 5

Communicate to all the company stakeholders the commitments made and the concrete results of the implemented actions.

Article 6

Encourage all of these partners to also work in favour of non-discrimination and the promotion of diversity.
